This location I was very impressed with. The facility was clean and large, friendly staff and well kept locker room and showers. I would recommend getting a membership if you live in the area.

This smaller . I don't like paying the $0. I had anticipated and in a nice way.
They only give you a 1 day pass?. From my house until I actually got on the cardio machine I was tired already.
You have to drive down 4 stories into some parking structure that's labeled 4. I went to the 4. 00 first and didn't know where to go. Walked up took an elevator walked to the gym up the stairs then an elevator finally filled out the free 1 day pass and the cardio is up more stairs lol. Dang that was a huge mission!!!!

And at the end they make you pay 5. It should be free come on.. I've been coming to this gym for about 5 years. I'm very easy going and it doesn't take a lot from a company to satisfy me.
I come here and just mind my business and work out. And I've always thought of the gym as a average one but I go here because I'm used to it and it's close to where I live.

But today I saw something that motivated me to write a review. They were out of towels and told me to come back in 1. Came back and they said 2. Came back once more and they said 1. I was at the gym for 2 hours and that was all in the first hour. I decided not to go back for a towel and just work out. When I was done (about an hour later).

I saw someone asking for a towel as I was leaving and guess what, 3. That pushed me to write this review. The gym in general seems passable, UNTIL you get to the pool and pool locker rooms (at least the ladies, I can't speak for the mens). Dirty and unhygienic - see the attached photos. There are flies, hair and soap scum wads in the shower drains (like 1/8 cup's worth each), globs of hair in the sinks, grubby walls and floors (wish I had my camera the day there was a two inch dead cockroach..) Over the years, I have repeatedly reported this to the multiple managers who have rotated through, as have many other women who use this locker room. All the managers seem concerned and promise improvement, and then nothing changes. Also, the pool is often cloudy and occasionally there is a sand- like debris that piles up at the ends of the lanes.
One time it was an inch thick! As one fellow swimmer said . We've passed day four. I've experienced many pools and locker rooms - this pair is the worst. That's a MAJOR safety issue if there's an emergency.*********READ BEFORE YOU JOIN THIS GYM**********. I signed up here for a 1 year membership that turned out to be a 2 year membership.
The friendly and honest employee told me that it was a 1 year membership and whispered to me that the only way I can cancel my membership is to cancel my card. I then got charged for that same month that I paid for and when I asked the customer service representative over the phone what happened to the $3. I paid ARPI, she sad that they never received the payment. I enjoy paying for parking more than I enjoy being tricked and stolen from the employees!
Very well maintained location. They do validate but you still need to pay a small fee. Behind the building is residential area, 2 hours free parking but very limited space. I have been going to this 2. I paid for a 3- year membership up front. The deal also allowed me to renew my membership for 1. When I found that out I was sold.
When I spoke with a 2. When signing the contract I was not informed about this discretion. I was 1. 8 at the time of signing and didn't read through the boilerplate clauses of the contract. I expected the salesman at the time to inform me of such an important aspect of the agreement. There are never any towels. Even where there are towels, they're always stained and smell bad. Plus you have to pay for parking.
And if you happen to lose your validation card, the parking attendants are unsympathetic and charge you full day price. Let's start by 5 stars for this place and see how it goes. Went here to try things out and was treated with complete disrespect. Absolutely revolting establishment. Ok, time to speak out about this 2. This is honestly the most sub par . I've been a 2. 4 Hour member for years now and this gym is probably at the bottom.
The two toilets are old and have towels all over the floor ( Check the photos I provided). I dont think they even clean their restroom better yet collect towels until the end of the day. The locker room is in horrible conditions I'm surprised they haven't been cited for any health violations. BUT THIS MEMBERSHIP Has really old 9.
Check the photos I provided as example). Most of the time their machines are broken or missing a pin. I shouldn't be paying .
Again other Super sport have nice equipments, except this one. At the check in, THERES USUALLY ONE AT THE DESK with a lot of people waiting to be helped (again I have pictures I posted as proof). But here's the kicker, the other staff is out in the basketball court playing basketball in his uniform! I mean come on, if you're on the clock and your co worker needs help, why play ball?
Help your co worker out. The worst part is this employee who plays basketball in his uniform START FIGHTS and ARGUMENTS with other players, who are paying customers.
Because a new gym is opening up down the street who cost less and will have newer equipments. They're going to lose a lot of customers.
When i went down again and asked for a towel, she said another 3. I have been to over 1.
Gyms all over the country and this one is worse than some of the lower end ACTIVE Gyms and its a . This place is a SUPER Joke. The locker room is always dirty, the A/C never works for the cardio area, the sauna is filthy and hasn't been cleaned in months, the towels are always out ? Towel service is included in our monthly fee why are you guys always out of towels ? The manager and corporate only care about money. If you're thinking about signing up DON'T. Go to LA Fitness instead.
I am going to cancel my membership like most of my friends and go to LA Fitness. The Manager in this fascility is very unprofessional & rude.
It has a sign for Military friendly BUT it's the opposite. I Don't ever come back to this place!!! In fact the word gym or fitness center and this discussing playground are oxymorons. Completely mismanaged without any rules and etiquette.
Most of the time, more than half the weights are on the floor and none are ever in their proper place. Members sometimes vandalize the facility in retaliation. Equipment is NEVER cleaned and even most basic maintenance is never done. Paper towels holders sometimes stay empty for days. I've had multiple discussion with the Club Manager and his excuse for not enforcing ANY of the gym rules and the chaos I've described is that he has had his life threatened by noncompliant member and he is not sufficiently funded by the corporation to hire adequate staff.
This is not only a very naive and childish excuse, but an insult to the Glendale Police Department and disrespect to the residents of the City of Glendale who are well- aware that anyone threatening would find themselves confronted by the police within minutes. This is clearly sign of lack of self- confidence as well as lack of motivation and skills to manage a fitness center. Ironically he also mentioned that 2. Hour Fitness has very deep pockets and big attorneys and an injured member would likely not receive much compensation. They never make eye contact or greet members and they neither teach gym etiquette to their clients, nor do they enforce it.
The turnover rate of the staff speaks volumes. Sadly I've been a member for over 1. There is no excuse other than this is norm for the low standard of 2. Fitness, where people in suits, sitting behind desks in remote places earn bonuses without ever setting foot in the dump that they are supposedly managing.
I like the crowd and saw a few cute Middle East girls at this location! Last review of 2. Since fitness became a bigger part of my life in this last year, I'd like to dedicate it to this 2. I mainly come here for Insanity with Renata on Wednesdays and Fridays, but this is the location that convinced me to upgrade to a Super Sport membership. Is the extra monthly fee worth it?
There is an obvious difference Sport and Super Sport which is most evident in the equipment maintenance and upgrades and duh, free towels. But there are still downfalls that seem universal to all 2.
